Coach Li graduated from Beijing ( China ) Sports University and was the setter of China 's Men's National Volleyball Team. He was, afterwards, named the head coach of various national volleyball teams, including the China Army Women's Volleyball team, the Singapore National Men's and Women's teams, and more importantly, the China National Women's Volleyball Team. He led the China National Women's team to win most individual games against national teams of Cuba , Brazil , Russia , and United States as well. Coach Li has received numerous awards and honors such as the "Coach of the Tournament" and the "Best Coach of Asia ".

Coach JR played basketball, soccer and volleyball in college, and he continued them after graduation, when he was a college teacher. After coming to the US in 1986, he played in several volleyball club teams in Illinois, while still being active in backetball and soccer. Jr emeraged as a sports figure in the RTP arae, after arriving in NC in 1995, when he created and organized clubs and tournaments for basketball and volleyball. Although he played less backetball and soccer, when he became more devoted to this children's activities, his passion lied with volleyball, and it continues to be his favorite sport. JR captained and coached his own team, Oriental Express, which had been competing for over a decade and had won first or second place in all levels within the Cary League.

Coach Uma graduated from Madras University,Tamil Nadu, India and was the setter of Indian Women's National Volley ball Team. In 1996, she captained Indian Junior Volley Ball Team for the Princess Cup Tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand. She was twice awarded the State Chief Minister's Award for her contribution as player in the National Games Championship Tournament in 1997 and 1999. She was an active player in the Southern Railways Volleyball Team (one of India's elite teams), between 1994 and 2000. She has won numerous awards and honors, including Disciplined Player of the Tournament Award, Best Player of the Tournament Award. In India, Coach Uma has been an Assistant Coach for the City Inter Schools Tournament..

Coach Audun first played volleyball as an exchange student outdoors under oak trees in California in the mid-70s. After returning to Norway, he played competitive club volleyball for four years. During that time, he also coached girls, boys, and women's teams, leading them to several league championships. He refereed matches, and ended up managing a regional club league with 60+ teams. After joining SAS Institute, he has played in the Cary City league on the SAS Men's Team for the last 8+ years, as well as being a captain for several years on one of the top intramural coed teams in the internal SAS Competitive league.

Coach Galina is currently a senior at St. Andrews Presbyterian
College where she plans on graduating with a degree in
Psychology and minor in Spanish, and plays volleyball for
the varsity team. She has been playing the game for
over 8 years now collecting a number of records and
awards. Her club volleyball experience included
playing for CCVC for 4 years, as well as for Pulse for a
year. She has also been assisting the Broughton High
School volleyball team throughout the past 3 summers, as
well as leading the volleyball and soccer sessions at Camp
Thunderbird during summers of '07 and '08.

Coach Hopejust graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill with majors in Economics and European Studies and a minor in French.
She has been playing volleyball for ten years ? starting at Durham Academy
in 7th grade. She played varsity at Jordan High and also played club
volleyball with DOVE. While in college, she captained several Intramural
volleyball teams, winning 5 championships between beach volleyball, indoor,
and wallyball (volleyball in a racquetball court). She is also active in
local pick-up volleyball. Hope also enjoys coaching ? she was the assistant
coach for the Durham Academy Middle School Volleyball Camp for 4 years.

Coach ErikaStarted playing volleyball as a teenager for one of the most competitive clubs in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Participated in many local and regional championships. Graduated from University in Economics and completed her post-graduation degree in Financial Markets. Later joined the inter-company ladies volleyball league playing for IBM Brazil.
Moved to the United Kingdom and after a volleyball-break period to raise her small children and time to complete her masters degree in Business Administration, she was selected to play for the Wessex Club ladies national division 1 and for the Wessex Club ladies South West teams.
Erika attained her coaching level 1 award in England in 2008. Within the last two years she has worked as:
Junior assistant coach (8 – 12 year-olds)
Adult ladies lead coach (training of two ladies teams)
Organization of club tournaments and events
For the 2009/2010 season, Erika will be playing volleyball on the Cary and USVA ladies leagues.

Coach Russ has coached middle school girls volleyball and basketball for several years, winning four conference championships in the last four years. He's been a successful athlete since childhood in wrestling, basketball, softball, golf, tae-kwon do (black belt), and ultimate frisbee. His passion for volleyball has grown exponentially in recent years since two of his three daughters began playing. With a PhD in Statistics from NC State and as Director of Scientific Discovery at SAS Institute, he is analytical and technical by nature, and strongly encourages competitive sports as a key component of childhood and teenage development.

Coach Bruce began playing competitive volleyball in his high school sophomore year, and in the "18 and Under USA Jr. Olympic Volleyball League". He was named to the All County Team (Montgomery County, MD) and team MVP during his junior and senior year at Quince Orchard High School. After high school, Bruce joined the University of Maryland's Men Volleyball Team as a walk on and played the outside hitter position for one full season. During that season, University of Maryland won the ACC conference tournament and finished top 10 at nationals. Bruce also played in the Chinese nine-man league with full sponsorship and USAV Volleyball league for 5 seasons, and was named the league MVP during his last season. Currently, he competes in the Cary City League (won 2008 championships) and local volleyball tournaments. Bruce moved from Maryland to the Raleigh area in 2007 with his wife and two children (ages 5 and 3).

Coach Joe began playing volleyball in his varsity high school team as a setter. During his college years he played in both in a college men's volleyball club (USVBA Open League) and spent many weekends playing in Asian volleyball tournaments in Toronto, NYC, Boston and local areas. He played power-side hitter and setter. Currently, he competes in the Cary Co-Ed AA League (won 2008 championship), Cisco 4-man sand volleyball and annual CAFA volleyball tournaments. Joe moved from California to the North Carolina in 2004 with his wife and two girls (ages 4 and 2).

Coach Kevin begun playing volleyball on this company team and participated in the NC RTP Outdoor Volleyball League. He had been passionate about the sport since then. The desire to achieve higher skill levels had propelled him to actively train and coach fellow enthuiasts, while playing in the Cary Co-ed Volleyball League. In the most recent three years, Kevin had hosted and captained a company team for Qimonda North America. He also provided additional support to another team and was awarded the team's Best Supporting Role.
